About this go-kart

Heritage Racers D50 Electric Go-Kart offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced go-kart with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.

This go-kart is marketed by Heritage Racers of Miami, Florida, as the D50, a model styled after the 1956 Ferrari-Lancia D50 Formula 1 car driven by Juan Manuel Fangio. It features a fiberglass body finished in red over a steel frame and is powered by an electric motor that provides forward and reverse operation. Additional features include faux side-mounted fuel tanks and quad exhaust outlets, a front grille, an aluminum fuel filler cap over the charging port, adjustable foot pedals, a removable three-spoke steering wheel, a brown seat, a windscreen, 8″ steel wheels, and side mirrors.

In 1953, Gianni Lancia tasked Vittorio Jano with leading a team of engineers to develop a single-seat race car for Formula 1 competition, and the result was the D50. Its styling features included fuel tanks mounted on either side of the cockpit. The Ferrari-engineered 1956 version featured quad side-exit exhausts and was driven that year by Juan Manuel Fangio, who claimed his fourth Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship.

The bodywork is constructed of fiberglass and finished in red with a yellow nose stripe and white #20 race numbers. Additional details include body-color side mirrors, faux side fuel tanks, twin quad simulated exhaust outlets, a removable hood panel with a faux hood scoop and vents, a plastic windscreen, and a mesh grille. The car measures approximately 89″ long, 35″ wide, and 27″ high at the top of the windscreen, and it weighs 210 pounds.

The rear bodywork features Argentine flags and white Juan Manuel Fangio-style signatures.
