This go-kart was built by Devin Enterprises of El Monte, California, as a scale replica of a 1950s Devin sports car. It features fiberglass bodywork finished in red over a steel frame and is powered by a Honda GX160 4-stroke single. Additional equipment includes 6″ wheels, polished chrome front and rear bumpers, a fuel filler cap, a steering yoke, #7 race numbers on white roundels, an electric starter, a bench seat with an integrated driver’s headrest, and a hand-operated friction brake.

Founded in 1954 by racer and entrepreneur Bill Devin, Devin Enterprises sold fiberglass sports cars, bodies, and kits in several configurations through the mid-1960s. Scale replica go-karts were produced by Devin in the late 1950s, and the fiberglass bodywork on this Deluxe example was refinished under current ownership in red. Other attributes include front and rear chrome bumpers, white vinyl roundels with #7 race numbers, a driver fairing, and a bright fuel filler cap. A removed windscreen is included, as shown in the gallery below.

The 6″ steel wheels were powder-coated in silver under current ownership and are wrapped in replacement 13×5.00 bias-ply tires with inner tubes. Stopping power is by a hand-operated friction brake. The kart measures 87” long, 36” wide, and 24” tall, and weighs approximately 145 pounds.

The cockpit features a bench seat upholstered in black vinyl with an integrated headrest on the driver’s side and matching vinyl cockpit trim. A chrome steering yoke fronts a painted dash with faux instrument decals. A hand-operated brake lever is positioned on the left side, while an electric starter switch is on the right. The frame is finished in black with a matching floor pan.
