This 1994 Porsche 911 Speedster is one of 936 examples produced between 1992 and 1994, a claimed 37 of which left the factory finished in Maritime Blue. Chassis 465068 was modified by Vittorio Strosek at their facility in Utting, Germany, for US importer Fred Obert Racing with the company’s Mega Speedster package, which added a restyled front fascia and widened bodywork along with a lowered suspension. The Speedster wears a body-color rear clamshell cover as well as a removable black soft top and rides on three-piece 17″ OZ Racing wheels. Inside, Recaro bucket seats trimmed in black and blue leather are accompanied by air conditioning and an aftermarket stereo. Power comes from a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a G50 five-speed manual transaxle.
The 964 Speedster featured a shorter windshield than that of the contemporary cabriolet, a fiberglass twin-hump convertible-top cover panel, and a manually operated top mechanism. This example left the factory in April 1993 finished in Maritime Blue (38B) with a black soft top and was subsequently sent to Vittorio Strosek in Utting, Germany, for modification. Chassis 465068 is said to be one of 15 Speedsters to be updated to Mega Speedster specification by the company, just three of which are claimed to have been designated for the US market.
The package added widened front and rear bodywork including a restyled front fascia, ellipsoid headlights molded into the front fenders, aerodynamic mirrors, inlets ahead of the rear wheels, and vented rear bodywork. The third brake light was replaced with a 993-style “basket-handle” under previous ownership, and further details include front fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and a single exhaust outlet.
The car rides on Strosek/H&R adjustable coilovers, and stopping power is provided by red-finished Porsche-branded calipers over ventilated rotors at all four corners. The brake fluid was reportedly flushed in January 2026.
The fixed-back Recaro bucket seats feature body-color shells and are trimmed in black and blue leather. The revised door panels are equipped with blue pulls, which match the three-point seat belts. A Bluetooth-capable Sony head unit is connected to Polk Audio speakers in the doors, and further appointments include air conditioning as well as power windows, mirrors, and door locks.
