This 1972 International Harvester Scout II Traveltop is a running and driving cosmetic project that was mechanically refurbished in 2025 by Browning Road Binders of Artemas, Pennsylvania. Work included installing the 345ci V8, four-speed manual transmission, front axle, and power steering system from a 1980 Scout as well as rebuilding the doors and replacing the brake lines, fuel lines, and floors. The truck’s distressed exterior is equipped with a tow ball, a rear step bumper, LED headlights, towing mirrors, and roof rails with cross bars, and the interior has a front bench seat, wind-up windows, and Kilmat-lined floors.
The body left the factory finished in Medium Blue, and photos of the distressed paintwork are provided in the gallery. Equipment includes a tow ball, towing mirrors, LED headlights, and roof rails with cross bars. The floors were replaced and the doors were rebuilt under current ownership. Rust in the rear quarter panels is noted.
White 15″ steel wheels are mounted with 33×10.5″ Mickey Thompson Baja Legend MTZ tires. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The brake lines were replaced and a power steering pump from the 1980 donor vehicle were fitted under current ownership.
The bench seat is trimmed in black vinyl. Photos depicting the condition of interior surfaces are provided in the gallery.
