About this car

1961 Ford Thunderbird Coupe offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.

This 1961 Ford Thunderbird hardtop coupe was refinished in red as part of work completed in the 1990s, and it is powered by a 390ci V8 that is equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor and is paired with a Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission. Cabin appointments include beige upholstery over the power-adjustable front bucket seats as well as power windows, a center console, and a heater. The car rides on 15″ smoothie-style wheels and has power steering and brakes. Work in 2025 involved replacing the carburetor, brake booster, and ignition components.

The car left the factory finished in Palm Spring Rose (V) and was repainted in its current shade of red at some point in the 1990s. Features include chrome-finished bumpers, quad headlights, reverse lights, a left-side mirror, and a dual exhaust system with outlets below the rear bumper. Areas of rust on the trunk and fenders are reported.

Smoothie-style 15″ wheels are mounted with Coker American Classic tires.

The power-adjustable front seats and rear bench are upholstered in beige vinyl, and stainless-steel trim accents the center console, instrument panel, door panels, and rear quarter trim panels. Equipment includes power windows, lap belts, and a MagicAire heater/defroster. The radio does not work, and the dashboard trim is peeling.
