1957 Chevrolet 4100 Dually Flatbed 4-Speed offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.
This 1957 Chevrolet 4100 pickup has been outfitted with a wood-plank flatbed, and it rides on a two-speed dually rear axle and 20″ steel wheels over power-assisted drum brakes. Power is provided by a 235.5ci Thriftmaster inline-six, and shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission. The cab is finished in blue, and exterior details include a wrap-around windshield, tow mirrors, side graphics, and a pintle hitch. The interior houses a bench seat trimmed in black vinyl as well as an under-dash heater.
Introduced in 1955 as a successor to the Advance Design trucks, the Task Force pickup was sold concurrently with its GMC counterpart, the Blue Chip series, until 1959. This 4100 example has a 14k-lb GVWR and a wood-plank flatbed. The blue-finished cab features a wrap-around windshield, fender-mounted turn signals, tow mirrors, and side graphics, and a pintle hitch is fitted out back. Some of the wood planks have warped, and areas of rust and peeling finish along the body can be seen in the photo gallery.
The 20″ steel wheels are mounted with 7.50-series BFGoodrich and General tires, the latter of which have sidewall cracks. Corrosion is visible on the wheels. The truck rides on an I-beam front axle, a two-speed dually rear axle, and leaf springs at each corner. Braking is handled by power-assisted drums.
The bench seat is trimmed in black vinyl, and color-coordinated trim lines the dash pad and floor. A floor-mounted shifter is topped with a cue ball-style knob, and a heater is installed, though rips are visible in the hose.
