1.6L-Powered 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce 5-Speed offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.
This 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce was fitted with a 1.6L twin-cam inline-four and five-speed manual transmission during a refurbishment in 2009. It is said to have been previously owned by Al Leake, a notable SCCA vintage car racer and Alfa Romeo builder, who sold it to Thomas “Tommy” Trabue, a vintage racer, entrepreneur, and European car enthusiast, who had begun building a collection of Alfa Romeos and Porsches in the 1960s. The car is finished in Rosso Alfa over black leather with red piping, and equipment includes a black convertible top, 15″ steel wheels with hubcaps, Weber carburetors, low-back bucket seats, and a heater.
The Pininfarina-styled bodywork is finished in Rosso Alfa and was disassembled, mounted to a rotisserie, and repainted following the completion of metal work during the aforementioned refurbishment. Exterior features include a replacement black convertible top, a driver-side mirror, and a tripartite grille.
The 15″ steel wheels feature bright hubcaps and are mounted with 155SR15 Vrederstein tires. Stopping power is provided by drums at each corner, and Koni shocks are installed.
The low-back bucket seats have been re-trimmed in black leather with red piping, and red carpets line the floors. Lap belts are fitted for both occupants.
