LS376-Powered 1970 Jaguar XJ6 offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.
This 1970 Jaguar XJ6 is a Series I example that underwent a repaint, an interior re-trim, and installation of a 6.2-liter LS376/525 V8 crate engine as part of a build completed by Galpin Auto Sports of Van Nuys, California, from 2018 to 2023 at a cost of over $190k. The car is finished in multi-stage black and rides on 18″ American Racing wheels, while the cabin features black leather upholstery and piano black trim as well as a full-length center console. Further interior additions include a Nardi steering wheel, Dakota Digital instrumentation, an Alpine touchscreen head unit, a Focal stereo, and a retrofitted climate control system. The engine is backed by a 4L70E four-speed automatic transmission and equipped with Hooker shorty-style headers flowing into a stainless-steel dual exhaust system.
The last Jaguar designed under the leadership of founder Sir William Lyons, the XJ6 was unveiled in 1968 and built through 1992. This Series I example was stripped, underwent bodywork, and repainted in its current multi-stage black finish as part of the aforementioned build. LED headlamps have been added up front, and further details include a driver-side mirror, dual fuel-filler doors, and chrome bumpers with overriders.
The black-finished 18″ VN327 Rally wheels from American Racing wear bright center caps and are wrapped in Yokohama rubber. The power steering, suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes were overhauled in the course of the build.
The seats, dash, center console, and door panels are upholstered in black leather, while the floors are lined with wool carpets atop Dynamat underlayment. Piano black trim accents the dash as well as the full-length center console, and the center stack features a custom switch panel with a Dakota Digital control unit for the retrofitted climate control system. An Alpine Halo9 touchscreen head unit is connected to a backup camera as well as an upgraded stereo featuring Focal speakers, and further modifications include a push-button ignition system and keyless entry setup from Advanced Keys. The car was rewired using a Painless Performance wiring kit and the power window mechanisms were overhauled as part of the build.
