This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door hardtop was purchased by the owner in 1993, and it was subsequently underwent multiple years of mechanical and cosmetic restoration work that the owner states was intended to return the car to as close to its factory specifications as possible. The car was mounted to a rotisserie and repainted in its factory shade of Matador Red, and a Chevrolet first-generation 350ci ZZZ high-output crate engine was installed along with a mid-1960s Rochester mechanical fuel injection unit and a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. Inside, the seats and door panels were re-trimmed in red and silver vinyl and are accompanied by red carpeting, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a locking glove box, and vent windows. Additional equipment includes a dual exhaust system, drum brakes, and 14″ steel wheels with chrome covers and thin-whitewall tires. Following the refurbishment, the car was shown at the 1996 Grand National Roadster Show and went on to earn 986 out of 1,000 points from Classic Chevy International in 2001.

The body left the factory finished in Matador Red, and it was mounted to a rotisserie and repainted as part of the refurbishment in the mid-1990s. Details include twin wind splits, hooded headlights, a fuel filler concealed above the left taillight, and chrome bumpers and trim. Photos of the glass date codes and etchings are provided in the gallery.

The 14″ steel wheels wear faux knock-off covers and are mounted with older 215/75 Cooper Monogram thin-whitewall tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.

The cabin features a split-folding front bench seat and rear bench upholstered in red and silver vinyl along with coordinated carpets and door panels. Interior appointments include a Custom Autosound cassette stereo, a locking glovebox, an analog clock, a cabin heater, and vent windows.
