Citroen U23–Bodied, Pontiac V8–Powered Custom Flatbed Project offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.
This flatbed truck is a running project that was built under prior ownership in France using a Citroën U23 cab and chassis components sourced from a Ford truck. The engine is linked to a 200-4R four-speed automatic transmission, and additional equipment includes polished exhaust stacks, 16” steel wheels, gray upholstery, and a wood-lined cargo bed. The truck runs and drives, though the disc brakes are incomplete, and additional work will be required to complete the build.
The U23 was introduced in 1935 and remained in production for more than three decades. In the 1950s, the model was updated with a ponton design featuring a single-piece hood, a split windshield, and horizontal grille bars.
The U23-sourced cab of this truck is finished in gray with black fenders, and polished exhaust stacks have been added behind. The 8.5’ flatbed has a tubular steel framework surrounding wood slats, and LED light fixtures are mounted to the headache rack. The truck does not have taillights. Overall dimensions are approximately 18.5’ long, 8’ wide, and 7’ tall.
The 16” steel wheels are finished in satin black and wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. The truck rides on a coil-spring independent front suspension and a live rear axle supported by parallel leaf springs. Adjustable rear air springs have been installed, though the system is incomplete.
