This Bliss Surrey is one of approximately 500 examples produced by the E.W. Bliss Company of Canton, Ohio, and it underwent a refurbishment before it was purchased by its late owner and placed into their collection. The steel bodywork is finished in red with black fenders, and power comes from an eight-horsepower 19.5ci Cushman Husky air-cooled single linked with a two-speed transmission with reverse and chain drive. Equipment includes mechanical rear brakes, leaf-sprung suspension, 26″ wood-spoke wheels, a bench seat trimmed in black vinyl, and a steering tiller.

The Surrey was built for Dyer Products by the E.W. Bliss Company, which was founded in 1885 and had manufactured the Bliss Car of 1906. Offered from 1958 to 1960, the Surrey was designed to resemble the Curved Dash Oldsmobile, and it features all-steel construction.

This example is finished in red and features black-painted fenders, star-pattern side steps, a fuel filler cap behind the seat, a black-finished luggage rack, and a rear cargo trunk. The car is not equipped with headlights, taillights, or turn signals.

Wood-spoke wheels feature red-painted steel rims and hubs, and they are mounted with 26×2.125″ white bias-ply tires. Suspension is by solid axles front and rear with longitudinal leaf springs plus a full-elliptical center spring on the front axle. Braking is by mechanically actuated drums on the rear axle.
