About this car

This 1965 Ford Mustang fastback is a non-running project that has been owned by the same individual for 38 years. Originally purchased in Phoenix, Arizona, the car was used as a daily driver for three years before serving as a weekend car for 15 years.

The car was moved to Texas in 1995 and was parked approximately 20 years ago. In 2006, a refurbishment project was started, but it was stalled. Modifications include a fiberglass GT350-style hood and front apron, fender flares, quarter windows, Centerline Convo Pro wheels, disc brakes, and a 1971-block 302ci V8.

The car is finished in blue and was stripped and repainted in 1990. Exterior modifications also include a fiberglass front apron, quarter windows, and fender flares. The seller notes parking-lot damage at the left-front corner near the headlight area as well as evidence of prior repair work behind the driver-side rear wheel.

The interior is partially assembled and features black-painted metal surfaces, a white headliner, and beige Pony-style door panels. The floor pans were patched and trunk-panel replacement work was started in 2006.
