About this car

38-Years-Owned 1949 Triumph 2000 Roadster LHD Project offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.

The car has been repainted in red, and the interior has been retrimmed in beige leather. Equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, dual Stromberg carburetors, Dayton 16” wire wheels, and yellow-lens headlamps.

In 1948 and 1949, Triumph built approximately 2,000 examples of the 2000 roadster, which was an evolution of the marque’s first postwar model—the 1800. It is reported that only about 25 left-hand-drive examples were produced. Exterior features include yellow-lens headlamps, rear-hinged doors, trafficators, bright trim, and chrome bumpers.

Chrome-finished Dayton 16” wire wheels are mounted with Excelsior tires that were installed in 2020. The chassis uses tubular-steel construction and features an independent front suspension with transverse leaf springs and a live axle with semi-elliptical springs at the rear.

The rear compartment typically houses a spare tire along with two “dickey” jump seats that can be protected by a flip-up secondary windscreen. Said compartment of this vehicle is incomplete, but a reupholstered jump seat is pictured in the gallery below.
