31-Years-Owned 1972 Mercedes-Benz 220D offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.
The car wears a repaint in Dark Red over a black interior, and it is equipped with a four-speed automatic transmission, US-specification bumpers and lighting, 14″ steel wheels, full wheel covers, and air conditioning. The fuel injectors and glow plugs were replaced within the last three years.
The car left the factory in Dark Red (542) and was repainted following a rear-end collision in July 2002. Another rear-end accident occurred in January 2007. The car features US-specification lighting and bumpers as well as dual side mirrors and bright trim. Caulk is noted around the left vent window, and other imperfections include a scratch on the windshield, chips in the paint, cloudy brightwork, broken grille strips, and a patch in the right side of the hood. Signs of corrosion are noted in the vicinity of the front wheel wells.
The 14″ steel wheels have covers with painted centers and are mounted with Goodyear thin-whitewall tires. The car was factory equipped with an independent double-wishbone front suspension and an independent semi-trailing arm rear axle. Braking is provided by power-assisted discs at each corner.
Trimmed in black MB-Tex, the cabin is appointed with bucket seats up front, a rear bench, seat belts, and air conditioning. The Becker Europa AM/FM stereo does not work, and only the front seats have headrests. There are cracks in the dashboard.
