1971 Aston Martin DBS V8 offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.
This 1971 Aston Martin DBS V8 is one of approximately 400 DBS V8 examples produced between April 1970 and May 1972. The car was purchased out of Canada in 1971 and underwent refurbishment work between 1999 and 2001 that totaled approximately $126k CAD. It left the factory finished in Goodwood Green over Natural leather and is powered by a 5.3-liter V8 that is linked to a three-speed automatic transmission and a Powr-Lok limited-slip differential. Equipment includes Bosch mechanical fuel injection, power steering, air conditioning, power windows, front bucket seats, individual rear seat backrests, and an AM/FM/8-track cassette stereo. The car rides on 15″ GKN Kent alloy wheels and also has independent front suspension and ventilated disc brakes.
Specified in Goodwood Green, the car was refinished as part of the work performed circa 2000 and features hand-crafted aluminum alloy body panels, quad bright-bezel round headlights, a forward-slanted cross-hatch grille, a hood scoop, and bright bumpers and trim.
GKN Kent 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with 235/70 Avon Turbosteel tires. The car was equipped from the factory with an independent front and de Dion rear suspension, and stopping power is provided by ventilated discs at all four corners.
The front bucket and the rear bench seats are upholstered in Natural leather that extends to the center console and door panels. Amenities include power windows, air conditioning, and a Lear Jet AM/FM/8-track cassette player, which is said to have been installed by the car’s first owner. Floor overlays with embroidery were added in 2014.
