About this car

This 1970 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler two-door hardtop coupe was sold new by Hugh Palmer Motor Co. of Lebanon, Missouri, and acquired by the current owner in March 2018.

Refurbishment work over the next six years included refinishing the car in orange over black houndstooth cloth and vinyl upholstery and replacing the 429ci Cobra Jet V8. Equipment includes a three-speed C-6 automatic transmission, a Traction-Lok differential, 14" Magnum 500-style wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, concealed quad headlights, front and rear spoilers, high-back front bucket seats, and air conditioning.

The body was stripped to bare metal, mounted to a rotisserie, and refinished in orange during the aforementioned refurbishment. Additional work involved refurbishing the spoilers, headlight assemblies, and side mirrors as well as replacing the grille, marker light lenses, taillight lenses, weatherstripping, and glass.

The car is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer with an Elite Marti Report, service records, and a clean Pennsylvania title.
