About this car

1970 Mercedes-Benz 220 4-Speed offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.

This 1970 Mercedes-Benz 220 remains on an Arizona title issued in April 1971, and it was registered with its previous owner for 49 years. Finished in white over green MB-Tex, the car is powered by a carbureted 2.2-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and it has power disc brakes, manual windows, and a Becker Europa radio.

The W115 was styled by Paul Bracq, and this Series One example, which was finished at the factory in white (050), has vent windows, smooth taillights, and smaller chrome bumpers that were phased out on later models.

The car rides on independent double-wishbone front suspension and a semi-trailing arm rear axle. Steering is unassisted, while vacuum-assisted disc brakes provide stopping power. The 14″ steel wheels are trimmed with full covers, and they are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE900 tires.

The green interior has MB-Tex upholstery, color-keyed carpets, manual windows, three-point front seatbelts, a perforated headliner, and a Becker Europa AM/FM radio.
