1968 Datsun · United States · Lender-owned, lien released
1968 Datsun 2000 Roadster offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.
Under current ownership, the car was outfitted with Wilwood front disc brakes, Viking double-adjustable shocks, a front sway bar, a Nardi wood-rimmed steering wheel, and an electronic distributor and ignition coil, and the water pump and dual SU carburetors were rebuilt. Refinished in sliver with a black soft top over red vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 2.0-liter U20 inline-four linked to a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes 14″ steel wheels with covers, aftermarket headers, a Nichira exhaust system, a cabin heater, and a push-button radio.
Previously finished in white, the car underwent a frame-off repaint in silver during the aforementioned refurbishment and features a replacement black soft top, bright windshield surround and trim, and a driver-side mirror.
The 14″ steel wheels wear covers and were mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires in December 2020. In August 2022, Wilwood components installed included a master brake cylinder with a proportioning valve, front calipers, rotors, hats, pads, and stainless-steel lines. In September 2023, the rear brake shoes and cylinders were replaced, and the drums were resurfaced.
Viking double adjustable shocks were fitted front and rear in August 2022 as well as a 23mm front sway bar, front and rear spring set with front isolators. The lower ball joints and front wheel bearing seals were replaced at that time, and the tie rod end seals were replaced in September 2023 when the steering gearbox was rebuilt.
