1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.
This 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III was purchased in Virginia in 1978 by a U.S. Navy admiral from a Central Intelligence Agency employee, whose neighbor’s brother in upstate New York had bought the car new. The Healey spent time with the admiral in California and Florida before it found a new owner in California in early 2020. Finished in Dark British Racing Green over black Ambla vinyl, the car is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
Finished from the factory in Dark British Racing Green, the car comes with a black soft top and a matching tonneau cover and a boot cover. Other features include a hood scoop, fender-mounted side mirrors, bright trim, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers with overriders. Rust repair was performed on the lower quarter panels in mid-2023. In addition, the Lucas driving lights have been rewired.
The silver-painted 15″ knock-off wire wheels were replaced in late 2023 and mounted with 165SR15 Michelin XZX tires. In mid-2022, the brake master cylinder, front pads, and a rotor were replaced, as were the idler arm and the sway-bar mounts.
The 2+2 cabin features front bucket seats and rear cushions upholstered in black Ambla vinyl with contrasting piping. Appointments include a burl wood dashboard, a locking glovebox, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, front and rear lap belts, roll-up windows, black carpeting, and Austin-Healey–branded rubber floor mats. The heater core was replaced in 2023. The British Motor Corporation–branded push-button AM radio does not work, and the driver-side door card is torn.
