1963 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 327/250 3-Speed offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.
Refurbishment work in 2008 was led by MasterWorks of Madison Heights, Michigan, and involved rebuilding the 327ci Turbo-Fire V8 and three-speed manual transmission, refurbishing the steering gear and rear axle, installing a replacement wiring harness, reupholstering the interior in black, replacing various suspension components, and more as detailed below. Equipment includes a body-color removable hardtop, a white convertible soft top, 15″ steel wheels with three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps, an AM/FM radio, an aftermarket shifter, and concealed headlights.
The fiberglass body was finished at the factory in Riverside Red (923) and features a removable auxiliary hardtop as well as a replacement white convertible soft top. Exterior details include flip-up headlights, fender vents, quad taillights, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust outlets exiting through the rear valance. Noted flaws include wear along the door edges, marks around the soft top mounting area, swirl marks, and buffer burn-through on the upper body ridge lines. The headlight motor was overhauled in 2008. Marks by the doors suggest realignment is needed.
Silver-finished 15” steel wheels feature three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps and are mounted with whitewall tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The steering gear was overhauled in 2008 and the suspension was fitted with replacement Delco shocks, front stabilizer bar bushings, and control arm bump stops. The four-wheel drum brakes also were serviced with a replacement master and wheel cylinders, lines, hoses, hardware, rear wheel bearings, and parking brake cables.
The cabin features bucket seats reupholstered in black along with color-coordinated door panels and replacement carpeting. Amenities include a heater, an AM/FM radio, an analog clock, lap belts, and an aftermarket shifter.
