1938 Cadillac · Lender-owned, lien released
1938 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 Seven-Passenger Touring Sedan offered at online auction by Repo Vehicle Holdings. Bank-sourced car with a clear title, VIN history report, no buyer fees and a 30-day return window. Open bidding with the full bid history visible.
It was subsequently refurbished, with work reportedly including a rebuild of the 346ci V8, a repaint in maroon, and overhauls of the three-speed manual transmission and brakes. Since that time, the car has mostly remained in storage and may need recommissioning before road use. Additional equipment includes tan cloth upholstery, fold-out rear jump seats, a rear robe cord, a rear footrest, and an under-dash heater.
The car was refinished in maroon under current ownership, and exterior details include running boards, a humpback trunk, and a split windshield. Brightwork was re-chromed at the time of the repaint. There are scratches, nicks, and dings around the body, and the car does not have side mirrors.
Body-color 15″ steel wheels feature chrome hubcaps and are mounted with Firestone Deluxe Champion wide-whitewall tires said to date to 2016. Dual covered spares are located in the fenders but are flat. Braking is provided by hydraulically actuated drums at each corner.
The cabin houses front and rear bench seats that were reupholstered in tan cloth under current ownership. Interior appointments include a painted woodgrain dash, two rear fold-out jump seats, a rear robe rope, a rear footrest, and an under-dash heater. The right-front door is missing its window internals, including the regulator and glass. The trunk latch stay is broken, and the wood trunk floor has rotted. The ashtray is missing, and there is a hole in the front seat on the right side.
